About This Tour
The Private Hearse Limo Tour is reserved exclusively for your group — no strangers, no shared space, just you and your crew in a classic Cadillac hearse converted into a spooky limousine. With the whole vehicle to yourselves, it's a lot more spacious and the experience feels truly personal.
Even better: private tours include custom pickup and drop-off wherever you'd like within a few miles of downtown Austin — no need to find parking or meet at a set location. You'll visit historic Austin spots with documented haunted history, including the Clay Pit, Littlefield House at UT, and more.
Guests get out of the hearse frequently and go inside some establishments. Walking is minimal, though there are a couple of staircases. Sodas and water are waiting on ice — and you're welcome to bring your own beverages and spirits.
Private tours can also tailor the experience for younger guests (ages 5+), making them a great option for families. Note: we cannot accommodate car seats, so children under 5 are not permitted for safety reasons.
October note: Private tour availability and pricing are subject to change during October. During Halloween Week, all hearse tours go public — no private tours are available that week.
Tour Details
- Price
- The first two tickets are $125 each. Each additional ticket is $79 per person.
During October, all private hearse tickets are $125 per person.
Gratuity is not included — see gratuity guidelines below. - Availability
- Private tours run every night except Monday at 8:00 PM. During Halloween Week there are no private tours — all hearse tours go public to accommodate more guests.
- Custom Pickup & Drop-Off
- Private tours will pick you up and drop you off wherever you'd like within a few miles of downtown Austin. (Austin traffic and time constraints don't allow for pickup/drop-off outside of the downtown area.)
- Minimum Party Size
- A minimum of 2 tickets is required for private hearse tours.
- Maximum Party Size
- Up to 6 seats may be booked online. Six adults is typically the maximum comfortable fit, though groups with one extra person or with children may be able to fit more. Contact us if you'd like to book more than 6.
- Age
- We recommend guests be 13 and up due to tour content, but private tours can be tailored for younger guests (ages 5+). We cannot accommodate car seats, so no children under age 5 for the safety of the child.
- Tour Length
- Tours last approximately 3 hours.
- Drinks
- We provide water, sodas, cups, bottle openers, and ice. You're welcome to bring your own alcoholic beverages.
- Clay Pit Coupon
- Each ticket includes a 2-for-1 entree coupon for the Clay Pit Restaurant — one of your spooky stops — redeemable anytime.
- Gratuity
- Your guide works hard to provide a safe and memorable experience. Tipping is appreciated — here are some guidelines:
- 18% — Good
- 20% — Great
- 25% — Amazing
- 28% — Time of your life!
- Cancellation Policy
- Space is limited and seats cannot be re-sold once reserved.
- No-shows, same-day cancellations, and cancellations with less than 48 hours notice: no refund
- Canceled 2–7 days before your tour: 50% refund
- Canceled 7 or more days before your tour: full refund
